Nickel Classics are one of the few round-core pure nickel sets available and are absolutely premium strings.  I understand it’s quite a difficult manufacturing process and Pyramid has absolutely nailed it!
The combination of this warmer wrap wire on a springier round core is so much fun to play with this soft, flexible feel.  The tone seems clear but warm and balanced with great sustain.  To me they’re great for fattening up an overly bright Strat or Tele-style guitar or accentuating the inherent smooth tone of a Les Paul.  Well worth a try for someone looking for a darker, vintage tone.
Note:Â On Round Core Strings, please be sure to tune the strings to pitch before cutting off the excess at the headstock.
