Right, I’m no materials scientist; so as to how Jim Dunlop has achieved this I can’t tell you. But what I can tell you is how they feel, sound, and play….
TORTEX Flex is a heady combination of Dunlop’s reformulated delrin material called ‘TORTEX’ and nylon. The sound it produces is warm with a little bit of the snappiness associated with Tortex. The return to shape is instant but the nylon gives these a nice glide.
The Jazz III XL shape is refined and tactile with a pointed striking end and wide body for great control.
