This is a great set of strings for players wanting more bite and top-end to their bass tone. Thunderous metal basslines, heavy rock grooves and blistering jazz bass solos all sound clear as a bell on these super bright strings. Bass chords sound amazing also: with the Pro Steels’ ‘piano-like’ tone, playing chords anywhere on the neck is a dream!Â

These strings slap too…. the strong high-end presence and tight low-end offer a great slap tone.Â

These aren’t ordinary roundwound strings either: they are what D’Addario call ‘textured rounds’ and offer a more coarse playing surface than ordinary rounds. This is great for players who like the more tactile feel of uncoated roundwound strings.Â
