The hex cores and plain string wire is made from high-carbon steel which is tin-plated and the wound strings use stainless steel flattened wrap wire. The tone is even/balanced and long-lasting. Flatwound strings are great for preserving your frets and tone, and have a warm, smooth sound with no finger squeak.
